Confluence -II

Bringing the World Together

It was last year 2010 when THE BLUE MOON was struck by the idea of having all countries gathered under one roof, no barriers, no borders, no difference of color or religion. So it was decided to have an evening of music and arts with the title - Confluence. This was the beginning in January 2010 – the first gathering of its kind in India or maybe Asia where Diplomats from different countries came together to be the part of an evening where they could enjoy and admire each others artistic talents. It was not to be a formal evening; an informal gathering where Diplomats came to play on the piano or simply sang songs of their choice in their own language or in English. Some presented their paintings, others simply enjoyed the evening. Confluence-II was a continuation of this effort with the slogan – ‘Bringing the world together’. No doubt it was a success. There were diplomats from East and West, South and North. Dressed in informals, with their families and several coming up with spontaneous songs. Their children were not far behind in participation. It was indeed a success in terms of participation and the kind of participation that was expected – spontaneous. There was a sumptuous dinner served by THE GRAND New Delhi and cocktails courtesy Black Dog and Kingfisher group. The evening paved the way for moving ahead towards Confluence-III in 2012. See you there........if you missed this one
